Our Story
Why the Tree?
The tree at the heart of our logo represents heritage and continuity.
It is inspired by the same tree, long associated with our family, rooted in years of hands-on work through a small family-owned tree-cutting business in the Ozarks. That history shaped a deep respect for land, labor, and responsibility; values we carry forward in our own way.
For us, the tree symbolizes:

Responsibility for what we inherit and what we leave behind
Ad Terra is inspired by the Latin phrase Ad Astra: “to the stars.”
While often associated with space and exploration, our focus is intentionally grounded. For us, Ad Terra means toward Earth.
It reflects a commitment to thoughtful, practical work that supports people, communities, and the environments they depend on. We believe progress comes from staying rooted, listening closely, and building systems that last. Connecting us both to our military and NASA background while focusing our goals and efforts toward the land that we love.
The Four Corners: Our Core Values
The square framing the tree represents four corners, four guiding values that shape how we work and why we work the way we do, and establish the foundation of who we are.
Stewardship: We approach science, communication, supply chain management, and operations with care for people, land, and long-term impact. Informed by lived experience across cultures and places, we believe responsibility goes beyond delivery and includes how work shapes communities and environments over time.
